Dilmah Tea property joins Relais & Chateaux

Dilmah Tea's Ceylon Tea Trails has become the first Sri Lankan luxury property to join Relais & Chateaux. Selected for its unique character, gourmet cuisine and outstanding service, Ceylon Tea Trails is a four-hour scenic drive away from Colombo and is perched on verdant land 4000ft (1250m) above sea level adjacent to the Central Highlands World Heritage site and a lake. Originally built between 1890 and 1939, each of the retreat's four restored colonial plantation bungalows come with exquisite period furnishings and a manager, chef and butler offering round the clock service. Guest activities include croquet, tennis, spa treatments and of course, high tea. The resort is also a perfect base to climb the Adam's Peak holy mountain as well as visiting Kandy and Nuwara Eliva, which is famous for its 19th century English country architecture. http://www.teatrails.com/
